The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports, with a deeply passionate and loyal fan base that is second to none. Built on a Dynasty in the 1980's with four straight Stanley Cup Championships and 19 consecutive playoff series wins, our history has defined a legacy that remains untouched in professional sports. That legacy inspires us to leave our mark in the sports, entertainment, and cultural landscape.


In 2021, the New York Islanders moved to our new permanent home, UBS Arena. This state-of-the-art venue, which was built for hockey and made for music, is nestled within the historic Belmont Park - a storied landmark of New York. UBS Arena features best in class facilities and amenities, including premium suites, clubs, and lounges that offer boutique hospitality to elevate the guest experience. UBS Arena is part of a larger redevelopment project at Belmont Park, which aims to transform the area into a vibrant entertainment destination with the opening of Belmont Park Village in 2024 and the new Belmont Park Racetrack in 2026.

Our Interns bring exceptional communication skills and a strong work ethic. The Intern, Partnership Management will focus on creative thinking, organization, attention to detail and requires that the person to be able to work both collaboratively and independently to assist the entire Partnership Management department. This position also requires a high degree of personal integrity, timeliness, workload prioritization, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of partner relationships and deliverables
  • Liaising with vendors and internal partners, such as Building and Ticket Operations, in the execution of various partnership needs/activations
  • Creation and management of deliverable trackers to help ensure flawless execution
  • Proof of performance recaps and documents to share with partners and track department success
  • Think creatively and contribute to the overall department goals
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate

Your Training & Talent

  • Prior internship experience preferred

Where You'll Go

  • Attend home games at UBS Arena and other events (events can fall on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays)
  • The New York Islanders have offices in Floral Park, NY
  • Under the Partnership Management Department, interns will be expected to be flexible amongst the following three office locations:
  1. Floral Park, NY - Up to three (3) days a week
  2. UBS Arena in Elmont, NY - Dependent on game and event schedules
  3. Park Avenue Office in Manhattan - Up to one (1) day a week
  • Interns will be expected to maintain flexibility and work 35 hours per week
  • Must have the ability to provide reliable self-transportation to and from various events and work locations as required
