Job Title: Arena Events Group Account Executive

Class: Full-Time

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Group Sales

Summary:

The Arena Events Group Account Executive will report to the Sr. Manager, Group Sales and have the responsibility of generating revenue through the selling of group and premium ticket packages for select Milwaukee Bucks & Fiserv Forum events, like Disney on Ice, Monster Jam, Harlem Globetrotters, etc.

Additionally, this person will plan and coordinate large group events and theme nights. Core to this role is the ability to prospect, sell and service numerous group buyers, manage multiple sales campaigns simultaneously, and work closely with other departments on the set-up, sales, and facilitation of events.

Ideally, this person has previous sales experience in the sports & entertainment industry and a track record of success in selling both group and premium/hospitality products. Additionally, this person should have the proven ability to multi-task both in the office and at events. With the opening of Fiserv Forum, expectations for Bucks and arena show sales and service are high, which means that we will rely heavily on this role to be a leader in developing new relationships and to be a high revenue generator.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals
  • Meet daily and weekly outbound call and appointment expectations
  • Develop strategies to maximize group and premium sales for Milwaukee Bucks & Fiserv Forum events
  • Sell and prospect new full season ticket memberships, partial plans, single game suite rentals
  • Accurately and efficiently document customer & prospect activities in CRM
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, data capture and personal database management
  • Build strong relationships and gain a deeper level of knowledge about each customer
  • Perform event-day responsibilities, including entertaining clients and fulfilling large group events and theme night commitments
  • Attend team and community events for purpose of improving sales opportunities
  • Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers
  • Work collaboratively with other internal departments and key outside contacts
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Arena Show & Events Manager

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of successful sales experience, preferably sports and/or arena sales experience
  • Four-year college degree
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude
  • Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team towards achieving department and company goals
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong knowledge of the arena/family show industry and sports & entertainment industry
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt quickly to change
  • Excellent oral and written communication as well as customer service and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to learn and master new software programs including the CRM platform and ticketing system (Ticketmaster Archtics) is essential
  • Must have the ability to navigate the arena in order to visit clients and escort potential customers on arena tours
  • Lifting of 25lbs or more may be required
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Polished phone and face-to-face presentation skills with the ability to confidently react to situations in a timely and professional manner
