Job Summary


Summary: The Concessions Cashier is responsible for being able to accurately ring up and sell product in an efficient manner. The Cashier should be comfortable approaching guests to offer services and sell products. In addition, the Cashier must be willing to help fellow co-workers complete tasks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
    • Handles credit card transactions using the Point of Sales system
    • Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
    • Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issues receipts to customers.
    • Follows cash handling and tip reporting guidelines.
    • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • Responds to guest’s needs and requests, effectively using suggestive and upselling techniques, and maintains service areas.
    • Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
    • Completes steps of service to ensure utmost guest satisfaction.
    • Communicates guest issues to management.
  • Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
  • Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation and pricing.
  • Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
  • Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities.
  • Responsible for maintaining the stand sheet with inventory responsibilities.
  • Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties: 

  • Be punctual, reliable and available for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays on event basis.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds or more of the designated shift.
  • Adapt quickly to fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day and stand for duration of entire shift.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards including SNHD Health Card, ServSafe Alcohol Card, Non-Gaming Card.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English in written and oral form.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
  • Lift, push pull up to 50 lbs.
