Job description

Position Overview

The Arena Experience Intern will support the Arena Experience team, which includes Guest Experience, Suites & Guest Services. This role will provide hands-on experience in event operations and guest services within a fast-paced, live-event environment. The intern will assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as well as event preparation and execution to help ensure a flawless and memorable experience for all guests at Capital One Arena.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of game days and arena events, supporting Guest Experience, Suite Experience & Guest Services operations.
  • Support part-time staff operations, including event check-in, staffing logistics, and general event preparation.
  • Help maintain accurate staff and event records.
  • Assist with scheduling support and administrative tasks using internal systems (e.g., ABI, incident reporting tools, training platforms).
  • Contribute to the preparation of event materials such as signage, staffing sheets, and operational documents.
  • Support inventory management, including uniforms and event-related supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Assist with creating and updating event-specific and departmental resources.
  • Provide front-line customer service by assisting guests and Team Members with questions, directions, and issue resolutions outside and during events.
  • Support the operations of systems including but not limited to; ABI, 24/7 & SkyPrep
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Arena Experience team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's/master's degree, preferably in Sports Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in live events, sports, and guest experience operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
