Job description


The Manager IS Training & Support coordinates the development, organization and presentation of training and development methodologies for IS Training department in order to maximize organizational performance and utilization of the electronic health record. This position is responsible for training all aspects and roles within the ambulatory health record and is responsible for the identification of training and development needs as well as monitoring effectiveness of programs. It is the responsibility of the incumbent of this position to incorporate the mission, values and philosophy of the organization into all aspects of job duties.
Responsibilities
1- Training
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency and quality of work effort within IS Training
  • Trains providers and clinical staff on effective and efficient utilization of the electronic medical record.
  • Maintains a high standard of integrity and professionalism with clinic staff and shares medical data in full compliance with corporate policies.
  • Conducts research into medical and operational related issues impacting the provider, staff and/or patient.
  • Uses training and development methodologies to ensure that all FMOLHS training is provided via consistent messaging regarding any new or changing activities within the electronic medical record.
  • Selects and directs the use of various types of media to integrate into development and delivery of training products.
  • Ensures that all users are trained at an appropriate level and are able to demonstrate proficiency in the EHR system.

2- Leadership & Development
  • Provides a leadership role instilling a high organizational priority for training throughout the organization.
  • Manages and coordinates all training team members and tasks.
  • Coordinates the training program schedules, space and technical set-up needs. This includes the development of the course catalog.
  • Provide leadership development education.
  • Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management.

Qualifications
  • 3 years in a leadership role in an area that utilizes an Electronic Medical Record
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively with diverse personalities Able to present education and training materials with effective communication and presentation skills. Performs effectively in a complex changing environment Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to present complex materials to a variety of audiences Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and curriculum development Knowledge of computer systems, process design, medical terminology Software application presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years' professional exempt-level experience; EPIC Certification within 90 days of hire(EpicCare Ambulatory Certification & Training Environment Build Certification)
