Your mission will be to soar our STEM program to unprecedented heights! As an Area Sales Manager, you will be indispensable in driving revenue through our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) sales channel by dynamically engaging with decision-makers in school districts as well as in non-traditional school STEM markets to secure new field trips. This role is pivotal in broadening iFLY’s educational offerings and solidifying our reputation as a trailblazer in STEM education. This position is remote, and as the Area Sales Manager, you will have oversight of 2 or more iFLY locations.

We are seeking talented people who are goal-oriented and driven to achieve sales targets. Our ideal Area Sales Manager possesses excellent negotiation skills, proficiency in outbound sales tactics, and can effectively close deals. A high-performing Area Sales manager shares a customer-centric mindset and is skilled at building genuine relationships by identifying client needs through consultative selling.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, iFLY Indoor Skydiving is a global company with 33 (and growing) owned tunnel locations across the US and 88 tunnels worldwide. We are continually growing our STEM programs and are looking to add enthusiastic team members that share our passion about STEM and flying!

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Source new business opportunities through cold calling, emailing, and setting up open houses.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Hunt for new leads and establish relationships with potential clients.
  • Client Meetings: Schedule and conduct meetings with decision-makers. Present iFLY’s educational offerings and demonstrate how our programs align with their educational goals.
  • Sales Closing and Acquisition: Employ effective sales techniques to close deals and acquire new business. Utilize in-depth knowledge of iFLY’s offerings to tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Account Management: Maintain relationships with existing clients and work on account-based sales. Ensure customer satisfaction and look for opportunities to upsell or cross-sell our services.
  • Referral-Based Sales: Leverage existing relationships to generate referral-based sales. Build a network through satisfied customers and capitalize on word-of-mouth marketing.
  • Territory Management and Pipeline Management: Develop a deep understanding of territory-based sales. Manage the sales pipeline efficiently, ensuring a steady stream of leads and conversion into sales.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor sales metrics and report on sales performance. Analyze trends and provide insights to the management to facilitate data-driven decisions.
  • Location Oversight: Manage and oversee 2-4 iFLY locations, ensuring that they meet company standards and targets. Work with local teams to align strategies and goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a history of being a top performer.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in pipeline management and experience with account-based sales.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with decision-makers.
  • Experience in educational sales or familiarity with STEM education and programs is a plus but not necessary.
  • Proficiency is using CRM software and other sales tools is plus but not necessary.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address client needs and challenges.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
