We are seeking passionate interns who possess excellent design, modeling, organizational and communication skills, which will enable them to interact within a multidisciplinary team of architectural/engineering/interior design professionals. Successful Interns will possess the creativity, curiosity, motivation, and skills necessary to create conceptual models and advance design ideas with a team.
As an intern, you'll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support multi-disciplinary team in developing designs, schematic sketches/diagrams, and documentation drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of design presentations.
  • Utilize BIM software as a tool for design drawings.
  • Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables.
  • Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual.
  • Providing CAD drafting and design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration.
  • Assisting in resolution of technical issues on construction sites.
  • Effective teaming within the project team.

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • A passion for design and our profession.
  • Revit experience is preferred.
  • Experience with design software (Sketch-up, Photoshop, and Illustrator, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting.
  • Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written).
  • Please include a portfolio with your submission.

Education and Experience
  • Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in support of an Architectural license required. Completion of your junior year preferred.

Please note: We are looking for someone who is currently pursuing an Architectural degree from an accredited school. If you have already graduated, please check our website for other full-time positions that might be more suitable for you.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
