Role Overview
As a Licensed Architect, you will lead the design and development of commercial projects from schematic design through construction documents. You'll translate client needs into strategic architectural solutions that meet code, brand standards, and business goals. You will work closely with internal teams, engineers, consultants, and developers to ensure smooth execution and stakeholder alignment.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze
    client goals, site conditions, and zoning/code requirements to inform design decisions.
  • Design
    thoughtful, innovative commercial environments with a focus on function, flow, and form.
  • Develop
    full drawing sets including SD, DD, and CD phases - leveraging Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering tools.
  • Lead
    consultant coordination, ensuring technical documentation aligns with design intent and code.
  • Optimize
    workflows across the design process to improve project delivery timelines.
  • Review and redline
    junior staff work for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
  • Recommend
    value-engineered design solutions that balance cost, schedule, and aesthetics.

What You'll Bring
  • Active Architectural License (U.S.)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial architecture - ideally including restaurants, retail, or industrial

  • Strong knowledge of IBC, ADA, and Texas building codes
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects from concept to permit
