Description:

Oracle Solutions Architect Manager (EBS 12.2.12)

Position Summary

The Oracle Solutions Architect Manager serves as the primary technical and functional design authority for the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 platform. This leader defines the end-to-end application architecture, integration patterns, modernization roadmap, compliance posture, and cross-module governance frameworkโ€”consistent with enterprise standards.
The role manages architects, leads solution design reviews, and partners closely with business and IT leadership to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant EBS capabilities.
This role is central to ERP modernization, system integration (including OCI/OIC), and enterprise architecture alignment, similar to the themes discussed in the client ERP Modernization Instance Plan/Hosting Plan and Configuration Management Plan Walkthrough.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design
Own the overall solution architecture for EBS R12, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, financial controls, and long-term modernization goals.
Define cross-module design patterns (P2P, O2C, B2R, FA?GL, PA?GL) and ensure architectural integrity across functional and technical domains.
Lead design authority reviews for all enhancements, integrations, customizations, and RICEW objects.
Govern architectural decisions for cloud-hosted environments and coordinate closely with OCI, middleware, and security teams.

Leadership & Team Management
Lead a team of solution architects, functional leads, and senior developers across Financials, Procurement, Projects, and technical integration domains.
Provide architectural direction to cross-functional workstreams and ensure adherence to enterprise governance frameworks.
Mentor team members; enforce best practices in solution design, documentation, and operational readiness.

Integration & Middleware Strategy

Oversee integration strategy involving OIC, APIs, staging tables, FBDI, outbound interfaces, and real-time services.
Ensure integration architecture aligns with operational and hosting standards similar to discussions in client ERP Modernization Instance Plan/Hosting Plan and Configuration Management Plan Walkthrough.
Partner with data, security, and network teams to maintain resilient end-to-end data flows and compliance with enterprise standards.

EBS Lifecycle, Upgrades & Online Patching
Direct planning and execution of R12.2 online patching (ADOP) cycles, ensuring architectural consistency and readiness.
Ensure custom code, integrations, workflows, and bolt-ons are compliant with EBR/ADOP technical requirements.
Oversee performance tuning, scalability planning, and environment design across development, test, and production tiers.

Security, Controls & Compliance
Govern role design, SOD enforcement, audit requirements, and system controls in partnership with Finance and GRC teams.
Ensure designs incorporate security-by-design, data protection, and compliance-ready processes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Roadmap Leadership
Act as the senior technical liaison to Finance, Procurement, and Operations leaders.
Support executive-level planning sessions, architecture reviews, and modernization initiatives (aligned to the modernization and hosting discussions in client ERP Modernization Instance Plan/Hosting Plan and Configuration Management Plan Walkthrough).
Produce clear architectural documentation, decision records, and executive-readout materials.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of Oracle EBS experience with 5+ years in architecture or solution-design leadership roles.
Deep expertise in EBS R12, including ADOP, EBR, and cross-module dependencies.
Strong background designing integrations using OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, and custom staging-table frameworks.
Expertise in Financials, Procurement, Projects, and associated data models.
Deep understanding of compliance frameworks, SOD, and audit-driven governance.
Experience leading complex ERP modernization programs or cloud-migration initiatives.
Excellent ability to translate architectural concepts to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering EBS modernization initiatives in OCI environments.
Familiarity with API Gateway, DevOps CI/CD for integrations, and cloud-native observability.
PMP, TOGAF, or Oracle Cloud certifications.
