Job Title: Revit Technician & Drawing Reviewer

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revit Technician & Drawing Reviewer to join our Design Team. This role is responsible for reviewing completed drawing sets to ensure they are consistent with Furniture Industries' internal drawing and documentation standards.

This position is focused on quality, consistency, and process - not redesigning or evaluating the underlying project design. The ideal candidate has strong Revit and CAD experience, an excellent eye for detail, and enjoys helping a team produce clear, accurate, and consistent work.

This role works closely with Project Coordinators, Design Assistants, Designers, and our Process Management team to identify corrections, reinforce standards, and continuously improve how project documentation is produced.

Primary Responsibilities

·    Review completed drawing sets for compliance with FII drawing and documentation standards.

·    Identify drawing inconsistencies, formatting issues, missing information, and other departures from established FII standards.

·    Prepare clear, organized review notes for Project Coordinators.

·    Assist Project Coordinators in communicating required corrections to Design Assistants and other team members.

·    Make drawing corrections directly in Revit or CAD when needed to help meet project deadlines.

·    Set up drawing shells, templates, and project files for new drawing sets.

·    Prepare and present periodic refresher trainings on FII drawing standards and best practices.

·    Develop and distribute useful Revit and CAD tips to improve team efficiency and consistency.

·    Work with Process Management to document, refine, and improve drawing and design-related procedures.

·    Help identify recurring drawing issues and recommend process or training improvements to prevent them.

·    Serve as a resource to the Design Team on FII drawing standards, documentation practices, and technical drawing questions.

Qualifications

-REQUIRED Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

· Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

· Experience producing or reviewing interior design, architectural, or FF&E drawing sets.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong understanding of drawing organization, documentation standards, and quality-control practices.

· Ability to review work objectively and communicate corrections clearly and constructively.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and review deadlines simultaneously.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

· Professional experience in interior design, architecture, hospitality design, or commercial interiors.

· Experience with hospitality FF&E drawings, specifications, and documentation.

· Familiarity with Studio Designer or similar specification/procurement software.

· Experience developing drawing standards, templates, training materials, or quality-control processes.

· Experience reviewing floor plans, elevations, details, furniture plans, finish plans, and related project documentation.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who naturally notices when something is inconsistent, incomplete, or simply doesn't look right. They take pride in producing polished, accurate work and enjoy creating order and consistency across a team's drawings and specifications.

Success in this role requires strong technical drawing skills, a process-oriented mindset, and the ability to provide clear, helpful feedback. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Revit/CAD professional who enjoys quality control, standards, training, and process improvement and wants to play an important role in supporting a rapidly growing hospitality design and FF&E team.
