Job description

Job Summary
Immersive Scenic Studio is seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter to support our design and fabrication team. This position involves preparing architectural permit drawings, construction documents, and detailed shop drawings for custom commercial projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in architecture or architectural drafting and understands how construction details translate into fabrication and installation.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare architectural permit drawing sets for commercial projects.
  • Produce detailed shop drawings for custom millwork, signage, and specialty fabricated elements.
  • Create plans, elevations, sections, details, and installation drawings.
  • Coordinate drawings with project managers, designers, architects, engineers, and fabricators.
  • Review project documents and verify dimensions before production.
  • Revise drawings based on client and internal comments.
  • Maintain company drafting standards and document organization.
  • Assist in resolving construction and fabrication detailing questions.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in architectural drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Experience with Revit is preferred.
  • Experience preparing permit drawings is required.
  • Experience producing shop drawings or fabrication drawings is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and architectural detailing.
  • Ability to read architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
