Job description

A well-established architectural design firm is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Draftsman to join their team in a fully onsite role in the greater Orlando area. This firm specializes in builder-series residential projects including single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums, while also supporting select light commercial projects. Their team partners with some of the region's leading home builders and operates in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Producing high-quality, permit-ready Construction Documents for residential projects
  • Interpreting and implementing redlines from architects, project managers, engineers, and builder clients
  • Coordinating with structural engineers, truss manufacturers, and MEP consultants to integrate drawings into complete CD sets
  • Reviewing drawings for quality control, constructability, and consistency
  • Preparing and updating permit-ready plan sets and responding to building department comments
  • Providing drafting support during construction for field revisions and builder-requested changes
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of architectural drafting experience, ideally within a residential production-home environment
  • Strong experience preparing Construction Documents from concept through permit-ready sets
  • Familiarity with residential building codes and construction documentation standards
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM software and Microsoft Office
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Drafting, Construction, or a related field (preferred but not required)
$24 - $30 an hour
