Overview

Navteca is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Architect/Developer with strong experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data engineering. This role supports enterprise data initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, reporting systems, and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the full data lifecycle-from data ingestion and transformation to reporting and visualization-and will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and data analytics solutions
  • Gather, define, and document data requirements, including data flows and architecture diagrams
  • Perform data modeling and support the design of data warehouses and data lake architectures
  • Develop and manage ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading
  • Support query development and reporting for enterprise data systems
  • Integrate and manage data across multiple platforms and systems
  • Analyze and optimize data structures, including denormalization and performance tuning
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data delivery

  • Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
  • May require participation in an on-call rotation
  • Must adhere to Fairfax County and/or FCPS holiday and inclement weather policies

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work on-site at County or approved offsite locations as needed
  • Time worked outside approved hours is not billable
  • Timesheets must be submitted for all work performed
  • Staff may not perform work for other clients during assigned County hours
