Job description

The Easton Newberry Archery Center is a non-profit recreational and competitive training facility for the sport of archery. Our mission is to put a bow in every hand and develop our youth and adult athletes into the countries next Olympians and World Champions. We offer classes, group activities, private coaching, and host a number of local, state, and national tournaments.
Overview: The Archery Coach will provide support for all Archery Programs. In addition, the Archery Coach will provide operational support before, during and after events as needed. The position requires flexibility to work evening and weekend hours.
Schedule: This is a part time temporary position (June - August). 18-30 hours per week including weekdays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Background checks and references are a condition of employment. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Key Responsibilities:
Support for Archery Programs:
  • Offer technical and logistical support as needed for:
    • All Youth and Adult Development classes and camps.
    • Birthday parties, field trips, Try Archery, and group events.
    • Private lessons, open shooting, and all other archery related activity.
    • Fletching program arrows.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of:
    • Indoor Range
    • Indoor Range Shop
    • Outdoor Ranges
    • Assist with facility maintenance as it pertains to programs.

Support for Events
  • Provide logistical/operational support for Archery related events:
    • Competition field configuration/set-up for tournament needs.
    • Operational support throughout duration of archery events.
    • Assist with breakdown, organization and inventory after conclusion of events.

Support for Office Duties:
  • Assist in developing a positive and efficient working environment for the front office:
    • Welcome and direct customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
    • Become an expert with customer registration software.
    • Daily exposure/engagement updates.
    • Ensuring End of Day procedures are followed.
    • Monitoring range safety and implementing severe weather policy when applicable.
    • Assisting customers as needed

Key Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to obtain level 2 USA Archery instructor certification (training provided)
  • Willingness to obtain USA Archery judging certification (training provided)
  • Willingness to obtain CPR, First-Aid, etc., (training provided).
  • Be able to safely operate common power and hand tools.
  • Must be able to work well with children, adults, and special needs persons.
  • Must be able to work all scheduled hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and

  • Ability to lift targets and other items of a heavy nature averaging 50 pounds in weight and other physical functions as needed.
  • Maintain good attendance on the job.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
