Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized exercise specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, and nutrition specialists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously.
Exercise Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client fitness level and skill set to plan reachable goals
  • Educate and demonstrate to clients exercise and injury prevention
  • Create a training plan tailored to client needs
  • Chart and track client progress
  • Motivate and encourage client through positive words via app with high level of engagement
  • Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached
  • Educate clients on evidence based exercise programming.
  • Adaptable to a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilities
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with the Dietetics department on patient fitness plans

Exercise Specialist Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or kinesiology
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Clinical experience in a related field is highly desirable.
  • ACSM certification is mandatory, or required within 6 months of hire.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English languages
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Arabic-speaking patients.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in exercise physiology and fitness training.
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote coaching sessions effectively.
  • Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)
  • Bilingual Arabic fluency is a must

$30 - $40 an hour
Job Types: Part time to start (10-15 hrs/wk)
This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $30-40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. It is a remote contractor role requiring 10-15 hours per week with opportunities to transition into part-time/full-time positions based on performance and business needs. Prior work experience with virtual Arabic-speaking patients and a cover letter detailing your experience working with an Arabic-speaking population and specifying the Arabic dialects you are proficient in are required for application consideration.
