Your Role

We urgently need full-time Armed Security Officers for a high-profile government building in Downtown Salt Lake City. You will:

  • Secure entrance/exit points, operate metal detectors, and provide security at government meetings.

  • Patrol exterior property and collaborate with local police.

  • Respond swiftly to incidents and emergencies, ensuring safety of people and property.

  • Deliver professional customer service in a high-visibility role.

  • Write detailed incident reports using our reporting systems.

This role requires reliability, strong situational awareness, and integrity to uphold APS’s standards in a critical environment.

What We're Looking For

To qualify as a Security Officer, candidates must:

  • At least 18 years old.

  • Valid Utah armed security guard license.

  • Valid Utah driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass background check (no felonies or disqualifying crimes; in-house fingerprinting provided for clear records).

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and composure under pressure.

  • Must be proficient in English (written and verbal).

  • Professional appearance for client-facing roles in a government setting.

  • Keen observation skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
