  • Support process validation activities and end-of-line testing, including emissions and flow performance.

  • Coordinate corrective actions, 8D reports, and PPAP submissions through customer portals.
  • Serve as the primary quality interface with customers to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.

Supplier Quality

  • Develop and monitor supplier quality performance for key materials (e.g., steel tubing, castings, fasteners, coatings).
  • Implement and manage incoming inspection plans.
  • Track supplier PPM trends and drive supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP / PPAP)

  • Approve and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Measurement System Analyses (MSA).
  • Validate prototype and production PPAP submissions in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Ensure robust launch readiness and risk mitigation during new product introduction.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the plant’s Quality team, including engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
  • Deliver training on IATF core tools, quality standards, and problem-solving methodologies.

  • 4+ years of experience in automotive quality management, preferably in metal fabrication, welding, or fuel system components.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and FMEA.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of metallurgy, coatings, and welding quality standards.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and failure mode analysis (8D, PFMEA, 5 Whys).
  • Data-driven decision-making with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Effective team leadership and technical mentorship capabilities.

Performance Indicators

  • Customer PPM levels and warranty return rates.
  • Reduction in internal defect rates and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
