Tool and Die Maker | Queens Village, NY
An expert in manufacturing precision metal stampings is seeking experienced Tool and Die Makers to join their growing team. The company manufactures intricate stamped components for the electronics, military, medical, aerospace, and automotive industries. Apprentices are also welcome to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Construct, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to close tolerances
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders
  • Read specifications, engineering blueprints, and tool orders
  • Prepare layout and detail drawings
  • Develop fabrication strategies using suitable machining resources
  • Maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards
  • Keep work areas clean and organized

Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Vocational school/apprenticeship training preferred
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong mathematical and troubleshooting skills
