Job Description: Looking for a carpenter with experience or a background in construction. Work to include new construction/remodel framing, interior and exterior finishing, metal roofing, and some tile and hardwood installation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
  • Estimates equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job.
  • Builds dismantle, and repairs structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
  • Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
  • Prepares and dismantles scaffolding as needed.
  • Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
  • Perform cabinet installation and flooring. laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile.
  • Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
  • Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, and interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications for projects.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to install insulation, hang and tap drywall, match texture, and paint.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing,
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
  • Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
  • Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
