Job description

The Tile Install Helper/Apprentice primary responsibility will be assisting in installation of custom tile in residential and commercial projects.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Removal of flooring to prep for new install, grout installed tiles, clean and level surfaces to be tiled, and mix mortar and thin set using machines.
  • Waterproofing, caulking, and sealing surfaces.
  • Use power saws or tile cutters to cut or shape stone, tile, or granite to specified sizes for installation.
  • Move or position materials in preparation for install.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, OSHA regulations, Company Safety and Health rules, and all other applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Complete time sheets accurately and on time.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 0-3 years working in the tile industry or similar
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Highly driven individual, looking for opportunities for advancement.
  • Knowledge in measurements.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace working environment.
  • Detail oriented, dependable, motivated, and professional.
  • Pass a background check
  • Effective and courteous communications skills
