The Role
Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization.
This position is for the management of the E37's Carrier and Submarine Engineering Outsourcing. The position manages a team of individuals responsible for developing the technical rigor in support of outsourcing "Make" items and in the engineering bounding of "Make" to "Buy" tasking. The team is also responsible for pulling and reporting vendor software to various leadership. Looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader who can assess, help stand up, and advise on viable suppliers for work spanning all programs.
Must Have
Apprentice Certification, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 6 years applicable, progressive technical, professional and/or supervisory work experience. A candidate must have a thorough understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations.
Nice to Have
*Thorough knowledge of Carrier and Submarine engineering Outsourcing process including the purchase specification development
*Experience with Teamcenter/NX, SAP, product structure trees, planning work packages, SWIMs and PowerBi
*Understanding of how to fill out VIRs and eForm
*Demonstrated ability to pull vendor software metrics and be comfortable with presenting them to senior leadership
*Ability to interface directly with vendors, willingness to travel to supplier locations, desire to lean in to effectively stand up suppliers and support them in working to NNS expectations
*Multi discipline experience
