Description
CPT is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical systems requirements management and electrical engineering design activities for Gun Weapon System components.
- Assist with electrical design, integration, and test evaluation activities under the direction of senior engineers.
- Utilize electrical systems engineering design software tools to support design and analysis tasks.
- Participate in design reviews and technical working groups supporting E30 electrical systems efforts.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and electrical engineering specifications.
- Support data collection and analysis during electrical systems testing and evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- 0-2 years of professional or academic experience in electrical engineering design or test activities.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering design software (e.g., MATLAB, OrCAD, or similar).
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical specifications.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Secret clearance (strongly desired); must be eligible to obtain.
- Academic or internship experience in defense electronics, naval systems, or weapons systems.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD electrical design standards.
- Experience with embedded systems, power systems, or control systems coursework or projects.
