Position Summary
STH is seeking an Apprentice Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands and are eager to learn a skilled trade.
The Apprentice Technician will work alongside experienced Field Service Technicians, assisting with equipment maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and installations while developing the skills necessary to advance into a fully independent technician role.
No direct pump industry experience is required. Candidates with backgrounds in farming, automotive repair, plumbing, maintenance, construction, or other hands-on trades are encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist technicians with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of pumps, motors, and rotating equipment.
  • Learn proper equipment disassembly, inspection, and reassembly procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and field service activities at customer locations.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Gather equipment information and assist with documentation of service work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Provide professional customer service while representing the company in the field.
  • Participate in company training programs and hands-on learning opportunities.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and perform physical work.
