Position Summary:
The Welder Apprentice II assists in the fabrication and welding of piping systems and structural components while developing foundational welding skills. This role works under the guidance of experienced welders and supervisors and is expected to demonstrate skill progression and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in performing basic welding tasks using SMAW, GTAW (TIG), or GMAW processes
  • Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, and fitting components
  • Read and interpret basic drawings and welding symbols
  • Support fabrication and installation of piping systems
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with journeymen, apprentices, and supervisors

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of welding or related trade experience
  • Basic understanding of welding techniques and equipment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Willingness to learn and develop welding skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
