Job description

Come join our team at Hennessy Land Rover in Alpharetta, GA as a Technician Apprentice. As a Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside an experienced technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs. If you have a passion for cars and a desire to grow your career, then this could be the opportunity for you!
What you will do:
  • Learn from and assist assigned mentor technician to expand vehicle repair knowledge and ability
  • Deliver customer cars to service stalls as requested by technicians
  • Pick up parts from the parts department as directed by technicians
  • Perform safety inspections, oil changes, lube work, basic maintenance and minor repairs as directed
  • Replenish supplies as requested by technicians or service manager
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
  • Attend training classes and completes online courses as required by the manufacturer and dealership
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Enrolled in or graduated from and automotive technical education program
  • ASE certifications a plus
  • Open to working Saturdays
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic
  • Maintains a valid GA Driver's License
  • Must submit to a background and drug screen

Working Environment & Physical Demands
Duties are performed throughout the dealer premises, both indoors and outdoors. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to move vehicles. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts will include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
