Description:
Sunshine Quality Solutions is actively seeking a field service technician/ diesel mechanic to perform in-field diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. This role requires proficiency in complex service tasks, with occasional guidance from management.
Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair John Deere equipment and technology in the field and on-site.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of parts stocked on the service vehicle for efficient service.
  • Mentor and guide Service Technicians and Apprentices to enhance technical skills.
  • Identify customer service opportunities and communicate solutions to improve satisfaction.
  • Track billable time and manage work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission.
  • Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs to further develop technical expertise.
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment to perform job duties safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring efficient and high-quality work performance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks.
  • Stay current on John Deere and competitor products to deliver top-tier service and support.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • < 3 years, Certified JD Tech
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Applying knowledge- demonstrates near complete understanding of diagnosing/repairing equipment
  • May require assistance in diagnosing/repairing equipment
  • Revenue billed hours less than or equal to 160/month
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in repair of agricultural and turf equipment
  • Ability to use service advisor and basic computer functions
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Class D driver's license with Medical Card
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Preferred:
  • Advanced or Master Service Technician certification
  • CDL license
  • Forklift certification

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform diagnostic assessments and repairs using hand tools with precision.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for operating tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Capability to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong vision for detailed inspections and reading documentation.
