Position Summary

XL Pro Staffing & Consulting is seeking a Senior Skilled Trades & Construction Recruiter to lead recruiting efforts for skilled trades, commercial construction, industrial construction, and heavy industrial projects. This role will focus on developing specialized talent pipelines, sourcing hard-to-find craft professionals, and partnering with clients to deliver high-quality candidates for field and project-based roles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for skilled trades and construction positions.
  • Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, referrals, trade schools, unions, networking, and industry associations.
  • Recruit passive candidates for difficult-to-fill craft and construction roles.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and skills assessments.
  • Partner with Account Managers and clients to understand workforce needs and project timelines.
  • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for future projects.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity within ATS and CRM systems.
  • Attend hiring events, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and industry networking events.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from recruitment through onboarding.

  • Experience sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using ATS and CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced recruiting environment.
