Job Overview

GCB Building Group is seeking a motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of luxury residential renovations valued at $1 million and above. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional with at least 3 years of experience in high-end residential renovations and fluency in BuilderTrend. You'll work closely with senior leadership, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to help manage day-to-day operations, track project performance, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of luxury renovation projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Support project managers in the preparation of budgets, timelines, and client updates
  • Help coordinate subcontractor schedules, site logistics, and procurement timelines
  • Monitor construction progress and track key deliverables using BuilderTrend
  • Review plans, specs, and change orders; assist with RFIs and documentation updates
  • Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors to support project execution
  • Assist with field visits to verify on-site progress and quality standards
  • Maintain up-to-date project files and records including daily logs and status reports
  • Participate in client walkthroughs and help manage punch list completion
  • Identify project risks and escalate issues to senior management for timely resolution


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting or managing high-end residential renovations valued at $1M+
  • BuilderTrend project management software experience is required
  • Experience in residential construction is essential; commercial experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project flow
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask across multiple projects
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
  • Professional communication skills and a proactive problem-solver
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
