Join Our Team: Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program at St. Luke's Health System-Treasure Valley and Magic Valley
Notice: This application process will be open from 8/24/2026 to 9/3/2026. We are hiring for the October 2026, and January 2027 classes.
At the conclusion of the application process you will be asked to attend a presentation detailing the class and expectations while in the class. In order to be considered for an interview you must attend said presentation. There will be two options for the presentation 8am and 5pm on Wednesday, September 9th.
Links to the Informational Session will be sent out at 6pm on Thursday, September 3rd.

Program Details
  • Full-time, paid position-Get paid while you learn!
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • 10-week intensive training program designed to set you up for success
  • Hands-on experience in classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments
  • Opportunity to become PTCB certified-St. Luke's covers the cost of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam!
  • Guaranteed promotion to a Pharmacy Technician role within St. Luke's Pharmacy Services upon successful completion

What You'll Do
  • Learn on the job as you participate in all classroom, lab, and experiential training.
  • Prepare and process medications-You'll assist in compounding and preparing medication orders under the guidance of pharmacists and experienced technicians.
  • Manage automated dispensing devices and medical dispensing technology.
  • Order and receive medications-Be an essential part of the supply chain for pharmacy operations.
  • Utilize pharmacy technology to support safe and efficient processes.
  • Maintain high standards in cleaning, logging, recalls, and monitoring medications.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
