Job description

Gravois Planing Mill, one of the oldest architectural woodworking companies in the United States, is actively recruiting a candidate to work as a woodworking laborer and apprentice. We specialize in high-quality millwork, casework, cabinetry, and custom woodworking for both restoration and contemporary architectural projects. The ideal candidate will possess a willingness to learn woodworking techniques including blueprint reading, machine cutting, finishing and assembly but whose major responsibilities will be to complete manual labor including moving lumber and materials, sanding, driving a forklift, and helping maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Key Requirements

  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Follow safety instructions
  • Occasionally work with face respirator and safety goggles as required
  • Reliable attendance
