Brief Description:
The Board of Education is seeking an experienced trade professional to serve as an Adult Apprentice Instructor, responsible for delivering comprehensive technical education and hands-on training to adult learners in skilled trades. This role combines subject matter expertise with instructional skills to develop competent, safety-conscious tradespeople. Compensation is determined according to the terms of the negotiated agreement.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Turnkey Related Technical Instruction as required by the Department of Labor
  • Direct supervision and evaluation of apprentices
  • Provide documented feedback to students on level of performance
  • Documents progress as required for Workforce and DVR funded students
  • Records Daily Attendance
  • Monitors and responds to district email as required
  • Expertise in trade-specific tools, equipment, and procedures
  • Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in both theoretical knowledge and practical application
  • Patience and adaptability in working with students at various skill levels
  • Computer literacy for record-keeping and instructional technology

Qualifications Preferred:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in relevant trade
  • Current trade license or certification (journeyman level or higher)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
  • Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with diverse adult learners

Work Environment:
