We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team. The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for managing DP Electric's social media presence, developing and executing content strategies, supporting graphic design needs, and assisting with event planning and cross-departmental branding efforts. This role plays a key part in shaping how DP Electric tells its story externally and internally, bringing creativity, consistency, and ownership to everything they touch.
Key ResponsibilitiesManages day-to-day posting, scheduling, and community engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube; monitors brand mentions and responds in alignment with company voice.
Develops and maintains a monthly content calendar that reflects project highlights, team culture, company news, hiring campaigns, and relevant industry topics.
Monitors platform trends, algorithm updates, and B2B social media best practices; brings actionable insights to the marketing team on an ongoing basis.
Designs graphics and visual assets for social media, email campaigns, internal announcements, digital ads, flyers, signage, and other marketing materials.
Creates event materials, promotional pieces, and branded collateral that are polished, professional, and consistent with DP Electric brand standards.
Builds and maintains a library of reusable design templates to support team efficiency and brand consistency.
Supports planning and execution of company events including internal culture events, leadership functions, trade shows, sponsorships, and community activations.
Partners with departments across the company to support branding and design needs, including presentations, internal documents, recruiting materials, and department-specific collateral.
Serves as an internal resource for employees who need guidance keeping their communications and materials on-brand.
Analyzes social media performance metrics and applies insights to improve content strategy, engagement, and audience growth.
Minimum:
Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand, with an understanding of B2B social media strategy and platform-specific best practices.
Proven track record of building and executing content calendars consistently and on schedule.
Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio of digital and print work; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign) and/or Canva.
Ability to read and interpret social media analytics and apply data to inform content decisions.
Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across platforms and audiences.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Collaborative work style with the ability to operate independently when needed.
Preferred:
Background in construction, electrical, engineering, or the skilled trades; or demonstrated curiosity about the industry.
Experience managing LinkedIn company pages and developing organic B2B content strategies.
Basic photo or video skills; comfort capturing content on a mobile device at events or job sites.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp) and project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Monday.com).
Some exposure to event coordination and logistics.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job. Additional education may substitute for required experience on one-for-one year basis or vice versa.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of social media platforms, content strategy, and B2B marketing principles.
Skill in graphic design and visual communication, including proficiency with industry-standard design tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across departments, including field operations, HR, and leadership.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written content and interpersonal interactions.
Ability to stay current with evolving digital marketing trends and proactively apply new knowledge to improve outcomes.
Light work environment. General office settings with limited exposure to light physical and occasional uncomfortable environmental conditions. Work may require lifting up to 25 pounds; occasional exposure to light, noise, dust, time pressure, etc. Some travel to job sites or company events may be required.
