You will:
  • Participate in a structured apprenticeship program.
  • Attend technical courses at WCTC while working onsite at INNIO.
  • Learn the fundamentals of mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, motors, drives, and industrial controls.
  • Develop strong problem-solving skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What You'll Bring
We are looking for motivated candidates who are excited to learn, work with their hands, and build a long-term career in advanced manufacturing.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, or on track to graduate by Spring/Summer 2027.
  • Interest in mechatronics, automation, robotics, industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Ability to meet WCTC admission and placement requirements for the applicable associate degree program.
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and commitment to completing a multi-year apprenticeship program.
  • Participation in high school technical education, robotics, manufacturing, automotive, engineering, electronics, welding, machining, or related coursework.

  • Paid, hands-on experience at INNIO.
  • Technical coursework through Waukesha County Technical College.
  • Tuition, books, and school costs covered as part of the apprenticeship program.
  • A pathway toward an associate degree and internationally recognized apprenticeship credentials.
  • Mentorship from experienced INNIO technicians and trainers.
  • Exposure to advanced large scale engine production and high-tech manufacturing systems.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career in automation, maintenance, and advanced manufacturing technology.
  • Eligibility for benefits/paid time off

If accepted, applicants will be required to submit:
  • Resume
  • High school transcript or GED documentation
  • Any technical coursework, certifications, youth apprenticeship experience, or related project experience

If you are looking for a challenging opportunity in a global manufacturing environment and want to build a career in advanced technology, automation, and energy, we look forward to receiving your application.
