LOCATION: GREENVILLE, PA
Founded in 1876, Hodge Foundry has been a fixture in the Greenville, PA community for over 145 years.
Today Hodge Foundry specializes in highly engineered complex Grey and Ductile Iron castings and is the only foundry in North America capable of casting parts from 60,000 to 200,000 pounds. Hodge Foundry continues to supply castings for the global markets of mining, power generation, gas compression, heavy industrial equipment, and infrastructure.
As we look to the future and continue to evolve, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. We are seeking those who possess a strong desire to work as part of our team, can work safely and efficiently in a heavy industrial environment, are focused on producing quality products for our customers, can follow work instructions, and possess a willingness to learn.
Description
  • perform maintenance/repair of foundry equipment and property
  • assist operators in starting equipment as necessary
  • may be required to install new equipment, and fabricate equipment for foundry production needs
  • performs duties to work instructions and quality requirements
. Eligibility requirements
  • maintenance technician must be skilled in many trades, including industrial electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, mechanics, masonry, and concreting.
  • mechanical reasoning skills are necessary
  • ability to read blueprints, manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings necessary
  • must be innovative and safety conscious for protection of self and fellow workers
Essential duties
  • individual must be able to perform maintenanc and repair duties
  • visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, clean and lubricate machinery
  • must be able to use hand and power tools, welding equipment, testing equipment, hoist, measuring tools, and be able to operate mobile equipment, such as backhoe, excavator, front end loader, yard crane, fork trucks, and dump trucks
  • completes maintenance work orders
  • observes safety requirements, lifting guidelines, as well as chain/sling lifting requirements
  • wear protective equipment as required
  • perfoms other duties as assigned
Required On the Job Training and Related Instruction:
Maintenance apprentices are required to complete 8000 hours of on the job training over a four-year period and complete required related technical instruction courses to achieve Journeyman Maintenance status.
