Role highlights
- Set up and run Swiss CNC lathes to blueprint, program, and work-instruction requirements.
- Execute complex machining on diverse materials with ultra-tight tolerances.
- Replace worn tools; make minor offsets/adjustments to maintain process capability.
- Own quality at the machine using gauges and measurement tools; interpret results decisively.
- Complete daily checks, follow preventive maintenance, and keep machines production-ready.
- Perform hand finishing to meet cosmetic and dimensional specs.
- Comply with GMP/GDP; complete routers/cards accurately.
- Champion safety, identify SH&E risks, and act to reduce them.
- Meet productivity targets and contribute improvement ideas.
- Record activities promptly in the job tracking system.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement and problem-solving with leaders.
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping excellence.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties, as assigned.
- Carry out visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, components, and finished parts.
- Follow documented procedures for routine quality checks; maintain traceable inspection records.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or GED; 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Preferred: Associateโs/certificate in Tooling & Machining or machinist apprenticeship.
- Preferred: Production environment experience; GCSE/NVQ Math and English (UK only) desirable.
