We specialize in high-quality residential renovations including kitchens, whole-home remodels, additions, and custom carpentry. We’re looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter who takes pride in their work and enjoys building beautiful spaces for our clients through renovation.

Position Overview

The Lead Carpenter will work on a variety of residential renovation projects including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and additions. This role requires strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with our team, and lead a crew of 2-3 at times.

Carpenters are expected to maintain a clean, organized job site and represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential carpentry tasks including framing, blocking, drywall repair, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, and finish work
  • Assist with demolition, layout, and jobsite preparation
  • Install doors, windows, trim, and other architectural details
  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Work with project managers and other trades to keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Communicate professionally with clients when working in occupied homes
  • Identify potential issues and help solve problems on site
  • Care for and maintain company tools and equipment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years carpentry experience (remodeling preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction practices
  • Ability to perform both rough and finish carpentry
  • Ability to read construction drawings and plans
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders
