What You'll Do

As an Experienced Finish Carpenter at SJ Janis, you'll work on high-end residential remodeling projects throughout the Milwaukee area alongside Lead Carpenters and skilled tradespeople. This role requires strong finish carpentry skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while maintaining SJ Janis quality standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders, and change orders
  • Install framing, cabinetry, doors, windows, drywall, trim, base, casing, and crown molding
  • Complete detailed finish work with superior craftsmanship
  • Assist with basic repairs related to painting, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and staining
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
  • Protect company tools, materials, and client homes
  • Communicate effectively with Lead Carpenters and Production Managers
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience on every project
