Job description

Our Facilities Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include maintaining site HVAC systems, Building Management System and supporting systems for the site. Operates within legal and regulatory compliance, ensuring systems are maintained and operational within site and regulatory requirements. Capable of following procedures, documenting work as/when performed and maintaining a clean/organized workplace supporting site compliance and quality standards. This is a full-time role for our 1st shift, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This is a set, consistent schedule with minimum overtime requirements and based on site in our Sugar Land, TX location.
What the Facilities Mechanic Does Each Day:
  • Performs and/or coordinates planned and demand maintenance activities on site HVAC system, utilities, and cleanrooms
  • Operation and maintenance of pharmaceutical grade compressed air systems
  • Maintains site equipment list as well as calibration and maintenance schedules
  • Oversees site BMS system, pest control program, security, and fire system
  • Ownership of site work order system
  • Interpret equipment blueprints, schematic drawings, and machinery maintenance tasks
  • Ability to respond to issues after hours and during weekends
  • Operation of local Building Management System, site security systems and fire alarm panels
  • Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • General maintenance activities including painting, wall patching, installation of fixtures in both production and office spaces

Minimum Requirements for this Role:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • 5+ years of experience working on HVAC and site utilities (electrical, water, sewer)
  • Black Seal licensure by the state of New Jersey is required within 90 days of the date of hire
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva will not sponsor applicants for work visas

Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge:
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (FDA a plus)
  • Knowledge of equipment/utility qualification
  • Degree in Engineering discipline
  • Welding Certification
  • HVAC Certification
