Profound is the marketing platform for the age of AI search. The way brands reach people is being rewritten - AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode are now the answer layer between companies and their customers. We built the platform marketers use to understand, measure, and win in that world: the analytics, intelligence, and agent automation that turn AI search from a threat into a competitive advantage.
We went from 0 to a $1B valuation in 18 months. Revenue grew 100x last year. Our customers include 15% of the Fortune 500 like Walmart, Wayfair and U.S. Bank, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. We are backed by Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, LSVP, and Khosla Ventures - and we are moving fast enough that the people joining now are building the playbook everyone who comes after them will run.
Product managers here are true product owners, responsible for discovery, execution, and delivery end to end. This is a chance to build at the frontier of AI and marketing and make an impact that bends the trajectory of the company.
Profound Agents research, write, and publish content on behalf of marketing teams. The work they produce needs a home. We're building an AI-native content management system from the ground up, and this PM will define and own it.
What You'll Do
  • Define the vision and roadmap for Profound's AI-native CMS, built specifically for the way agents and humans work together
  • Own how content is created, staged, reviewed, and published inside Profound, from the first agent draft to the moment it goes live
  • Work directly with customers to understand how their content workflows actually operate and translate that into product decisions
  • Partner with engineering and design to ship a CMS that sets a new bar for what AI-native content tooling can be
  • Be in front of customers every day to do discovery, get feedback, and validate what you're building

Who You Are
  • 5 or more years of experience building excellent software products, ideally at a startup or fast-moving company
  • Deep understanding of how content workflows work: how teams create, review, approve, and publish at scale
  • Strong product fundamentals and the ability to go from zero to one on a new surface
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity, create clarity, and push teams to ship
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves to help the team execute, whether that means writing specs, sitting on customer calls, or digging into a broken workflow in production
  • You play on offense, creating and running toward opportunities and injecting energy into places where there is none
  • Experience with agentic or AI-assisted workflows is a strong plus
  • Experience as a founder or building zero-to-one products is a plus

Location
This is an on-site role based in our NYC or SF office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.
For this role, the expected base salary range is $200,000 to $300,000 Profound's total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process. Our recruiting team will share more details about the full compensation package and benefits as you move through hiring.
