About the Role

We are a growing Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical (MPE) engineering firm seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Designer or Drafter to join our team in Phoenix. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing and designing electrical systems for building and site plans from initial setup through city submittal.

Note: This is an in-person position. Future opportunities for hybrid/remote work are performance-based and subject to ownership approval.

Key Responsibilities

Core & Technical Setup

  • CAD Management: Adjust incoming architectural CAD drawings to conform strictly to company office standards.

  • Project Setup: Create Xref files and blocks, setting up clean CAD drawings for engineers to work from efficiently.

  • Documentation: Prepare and draft formal documents responding to city comments on active projects.

Advanced Design Work

  • System Design: Develop comprehensive lighting and power designs for building and site plans tailored for city submittals.

Position Requirements

Experience & Education

  • AutoCAD: At least 1 year of professional experience (Required).

  • Electrical Design: At least 1 year of experience (Required), with a strong preference for 2–3 years of experience.

  • Software: Familiarity with Windows 10, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel (Required).

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM OR 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
