Radiology opening in Utah* Located in *Roosevelt, UT* - just 140 miles to Salt Lake CityWe are seeking a full-time radiologist to join our team. Currently, there is one full-time radiologist who is musculoskeletal fellowship-trained and six part-time radiologists who provide remote readings. Additionally, a part-time PA performs some interventional procedures. The facility has another campus located in Vernal, which features a stand-alone emergency department and a full complement of radiology modalities, including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CT, digital radiology, and ultrasound. There are plans to add mammography screenings and DEXA at the Vernal location, requiring an additional radiologist. The department generates approximately 36,000 wRVUs annually.Responsibilities:* Review diagnostic images to diagnose and treat illnesses* Provide timely interpretation of MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography screenings, and digital radiology studies for both inpatient and outpatient settings* Ensure proper documentation of all radiology images* Collaborate with fellow radiologists and other physicians* Work with the radiology manager to evaluate the performance of radiology technicians* Maintain and improve radiology department quality assurance and turn-around-time standards* Maintain medical and professional knowledge, including continuing medical education (CME) and licensing* Attend medical staff and other required meetingsPosition Requirements:* Board certified or board eligible* Fellowship training preferred* Clean license and NPDB reportAbout the Area:Located in Northeastern Utah, Roosevelt offers a family-oriented community with access to numerous outdoor activities, including several nearby lakes and reservoirs for fishing, hunting, and boating. The area also boasts an 18-hole golf course and is just a two-hour drive from the Park City ski resorts. The local community is home to a branch of Utah State University and Uintah Basin Applied Technology College, making it an excellent place for both work and recreation.
