Job description

Translate our needs into architecture solutions through the design, creation, deployment and support of the enterprise-wide Data Architecture. As the Solution Architect for our Enterprise Data Architecture, you will design and oversee the implementation of complex technical solutions to address data infrastructure challenges and requirements. The Solution Architect bridges the gap between stakeholder needs and technology capabilities by translating requirements into technical specifications and designing comprehensive solutions that meet organizational objectives. Main responsibilities are defining technical standards, select appropriate technologies, create architectural blueprints, and guide development teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
Other responsibilities include analyzing goals into technical Specifications, designing integrated solutions, documenting architecture, ensuring adherence to the design and advising on latest technologies. The Solution Architect helps build a holistic view and roadmap of our application technology strategy and processes. Solution architects work closely with stakeholders, project managers, technical leaders and developers to understand goals, identify technical requirements, and develop architecture designs that align with the organization's strategic vision.
This position is located in Milwaukee, WI- hybrid.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate our requirements into technological solutions.
  • Deep understanding of software development, cloud computing (AI, AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, and security.
  • Problem-solving skills to evaluate complex scenarios and determine the best technical approach.
  • Develop guidelines to ensure that a technological framework is applied across the team, maintain awareness and visibility of organizational best practices.
  • Introduce and accelerate new technologies and methodologies to support digital transformation.
  • Work with multiple partners and influence project decisions.
  • Work with other solution architects to provide secure, scalable architectural solutions.
  • Provide cross-product/cross-technology expertise to capability teams.
  • Support the design and modeling of tactical architectures to develop projects.
  • Support the design and management of reference architecture.
  • Contribute to and evaluate solution design and consult during release planning

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires 8+ years of relevant architectural experience
  • Degree in computer science or management information systems
  • Experience building strategic technology plans and roadmaps
  • Experience designing modern, public-facing solutions consumed by multiple teams
  • Experience designing cloud-based solutions
  • A desire for learning, investigation, and understanding and the ability to question solution partners across teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application and systems engineering
  • Knowledge of architectural design frameworks, integration frameworks and patterns
  • Seek out and embrace relevant perspectives when assessing a situation or making decisions; demonstrate clear understanding of multiple viewpoints
  • Experience with ambiguity and project interdependence.
