We are looking for a Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist to work in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist will design, develop, and apply solutions to complex cryptologic and computational problems. This role requires applying advanced computer science and mathematical techniques to analyze data, develop algorithms, and solve mission-driven challenges. Work will involve designing, developing, and evaluating mathematical models, analytic methods, and computational techniques to support research, engineering, and cryptologic problem-solving efforts. Responsibilities: * Experience in computer science (theoretical or applied), including algorithm development and analytic problem solving
* Strong foundation in mathematics and computational methods
* Experience designing, developing, and evaluating models, methods, and/or techniques to solve complex problems
* Exposure to areas such as high performance computing, engineering (electrical or computer), or applied mathematics
* Strong analytical and discovery-oriented mindset Requirements:
Level 2: * A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, OR
* A Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, OR
* A Doctoral degree with 2 years of relevant experience, OR
* An Associate's degree with 7 years of clearly related experience
* Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics (including Applied Math), or related field
* Must include at least one programming course and four upper-level math courses (Calculus and above)Level 3: * A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, OR
* A Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, OR
* A Doctoral degree with 4 years of relevant experience, OR
* An Associate's degree with 10 years of clearly related experience
* Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics (including Applied Math), or related field
* Must include at least one programming course and four upper-level math courses (Calculus and above)Level 4: * A Bachelor's degree with 11 years of relevant experience, OR
* A Master's degree with 9 years of relevant experience, OR
* A Doctoral degree with 7 years of relevant experience, OR
