Position: Contingent Worker - Applied Behavior Analysis Consultant


Location: Remote

Purpose of Role:

Provide high-level strategic consultancy and subject-matter expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to lead the development of a fully online graduate program in Educational Psychology, which includes multiple concentrations. The Consultant will serve as a primary architect for the ABA concentration and provide expert clinical oversight for students.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program leadership on the design and development of the graduate program, with particular responsibility for advising on the ABA concentration

  • Provide guidance on curriculum alignment with ABA standards and certification requirements

  • Advise on practicum/fieldwork structures, including supervision models

  • Offer input on online pedagogy, course design, and student engagement strategies

  • Serve as a subject-matter resource during program development and initial implementation

Key Qualifications

Professional Credentialing

  • Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or closely related field

  • BCBA or BCBA-D certification

  • Deep knowledge of ABA practice, ethics, and supervision requirements

Program Development Experience

  • Experience contributing to or developing graduate-level curriculum

  • Understanding of how to structure a specialization or concentration within a broader program

  • Experience aligning curriculum with accreditation or credentialing standards

Online Education Experience

  • Experience teaching or developing courses in an online or hybrid format

  • Understanding of best practices in online pedagogy (e.g., engagement, assessment, asynchronous design)

  • Experience working with instructional designers and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)

Clinical & Supervision Experience

  • Experience supervising students or trainees in ABA settings

  • Familiarity with fieldwork/practicum requirements and documentation

  • Experience with tele-supervision or hybrid supervision models

Preferred

  • Experience launching or advising on a new academic program

  • Leadership experience (e.g., concentration lead, clinical director, program coordinator)

  • Experience integrating ABA within interdisciplinary or educational psychology contexts
