Manager Applications Development - Oracle HCM

The Manager Applications Development - Oracle HCM is responsible for the overall health of the Oracle Fusion HCM module from a technology perspective. Specific duties include: (1) Lead and manage Oracle project teams in implementing new processes and functionalities and manage deployment within the Oracle Fusion HCM module; (2) Work with cloud technologies and Oracle's Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings to design and build extensions for Software as a Service (SaaS) application; (3) Set overall strategic technology direction for the Oracle Fusion HCM platform and work with the support team regarding the entry and management of Oracle Service Requests; (4) Drive technical results by training, developing and mentoring assigned team members and performing quarterly and annual performance reviews; (5) Direct the day-to-day work and priorities of the team assigned to support and enhances the Oracle Fusion HCM modules which is inclusive of an off shore managed services team; (6) Audit and keep process documentation up-to-date, and review, prepare and test quarterly releases, evaluate new functionality being released; (7) Partner with the Manager of Business Solutions Architect in understanding business processes and challenges in performing all steps of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions; (8) Recommend solutions on how to solve technology challenges by establishing project priorities and adhering to project deadlines; (9) Troubleshoot issues with existing processes and programs, and work with business to resolve, test and migrate fixes to Production environment; (10) Maintain and enhance existing processes based on business input and ensure proper testing and validation before migrating to production environment; and (11) Remain abreast of new technology Oracle is releasing on a quarterly basis and determine when and how best to introduce these new capabilities into Hormel.

Uses the following tools and technologies: Oracle Fusion Applications, HCM Data Loader (HDL), Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), File-Based Data Import (FBDI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Java, Extensible Markup Language (XML), Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, Application Development Framework (ADF).

This position supervises five direct reports, including Applications Development Analysts, and oversees assigned offshore managed services resources.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 60 months of experience with each of the following: (1) Leading and managing full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud or Fusion HCM implementations; (2) Working with cloud technologies and Oracle's PaaS offerings to design and build extensions for SaaS application; (3) Leading, coaching, and mentoring technical teams to drive development and Oracle project delivery; (4) Gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions; (5) Utilizing the following tools/technologies: Oracle Fusion Applications, HCM Data Loader (HDL), Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), File-Based Data Import (FBDI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Java, Extensible Markup Language (XML), Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, and Application Development Framework (ADF).
