Job description

Title: Field Application Engineering Manager


Reports To: Director, Industrial Sales


Summary: Responsible for supporting and developing business and maintenance of products within the Industrial and Home Appliances (I&HA) business group in North America. This includes providing strong technical support to existing and potential customers as well as supporting business applications. This role leverages market intelligence and established relationships within the HealthTech, MedTech & Robotics markets to drive significant expansion in industrial & consumer emerging markets while exploring other megatrends like AI-driven xR, Smart Appliances & Power Management. This position provides technical problem solving and promotes synergistic selling across passive component products, including recommendation of specific components and product sampling for engineering and creation of technical materials.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends by working closely with the customerโ€™s engineering team on new projects and developments.
  • Interact with Global Sales Development (GSD) management in Headquarters to align our local strategy with global and to be abreast of new developments.
  • Interact with Products Divisions as required to ensure market information is communicated effectively and new product developments are understood real time.
  • Establish and build customer relationships. Provide solution based selling and broad sales account support for customers. Recommends specific components for customer solutions and provides samples for the customerโ€™s engineering team.
  • Support activities to reach/exceed assigned Sales Budget and management of direct I&HA customers as needed.
  • Provide technical support to customers, Field Sales/Sales Representatives and Distribution branches/accounts.
  • Create training materials, marketing guides, applications notes and technical papers/presentations with the intention of promoting our products.

Education: BSEE or similar degree.

Experience/Requirements:

  • 5 years of passive electronic components or relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of power conversion for industrial applications to solve issues and create to new product ideas.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and applications including Medical, Avionics and Defense products would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications relevant for Sales & Marketing and Salesforce (CRM).
  • Strong attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills
