Title: Field Application Engineer (Power Electronics) Location: Fremont, CA Compensation: $150K $170K + Bonus


About the Role

We re hiring a Field Application Engineer to support customer design wins for advanced power electronics solutions, with a strong focus on DC/DC converters. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and customer engagement, working closely with customers, sales, and internal engineering teams to deliver optimized power solutions.


What You ll Do
  • Act as the technical lead for DC/DC converter applications, supporting customer design and integration
  • Work directly with customers (OEMs/ODMs) to drive early design-in opportunities
  • Translate customer requirements into system-level power solutions
  • Partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to position the right solutions
  • Support system validation, testing, and troubleshooting activities
  • Develop and deliver technical training for internal teams and customers
  • Coordinate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to track project progress
  • Identify technical risks and proactively communicate solutions

What We re Looking For
  • Strong background in power electronics, especially DC/DC converters
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Experience in Field Applications Engineering, Applications Engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
  • Understanding of power systems and hardware (data center, telecom, EV, or similar domains)
  • Hands-on experience with testing, validation, or debugging power systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
