Builds hardware and software intelligence into solar energy installations, making them more efficient, more manageable, and safer. By maximizing the energy output of each individual module, Tigo’s advanced balance of system products deliver lower cost of ownership and faster return on investment for existing and new solar installations.    

Principal Power Electronics Engineer 
Use scientific methodologies and circuit design techniques to develop manufacturable products from a comprehensive integrated systems perspective.

Responsibilities: 

-        Plan, manage, and execute the design, development, and integration for high-volume manufacturing of hardware components.

-        Hands-on involvement with developing proof-of-concept designs, prototypes of power electronics hardware.

-        Analyze manufacturing options to optimally meet overall system integration requirements and objectives

Qualifications and skills: 

-        BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-15 years of recent and relevant high-power design

-        Experience with electronic design using Altium or other modern design tools

-        Design for manufacturing experience.

-        Successfully demonstrated taking a product from design to high volume manufacturing.

-        Strong analytic skills in analog circuit design.

-        Sufficient hands-on experience with designing various kinds of DC/DC conversion circuits.

-        Circuit analysis with PSpice and/or MATLAB required.

-        Knowledge of DC/AC Grid tied Inverters.

-        Knowledge of digital power circuit design and implementation desired.
