As an Applications Engineer, you will support our sales team by working closely with customers, account managers, engineering teams, and manufacturer partners to deliver solutions for challenging applications. This role combines technical application engineering, customer support, troubleshooting, and solution development to help provide reliable and practical flow control, instrumentation, and overpressure protection solutions for industrial applications.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Support customers and account managers in identifying and developing flow control and process automation solutions
  • Participate in technical discovery discussions to understand customer applications, operating conditions, process constraints, reliability concerns, and project requirements
  • Size and select pressure relief devices, automated valves, control valves, regulators, solenoids, and process instrumentation
  • Prepare technical proposals around industry standards and best practices
  • Understand and consider the commercial implications of different technical solutions
  • Work with inside and outside sales teams to implement world-class technology solutions
  • Teach concepts from the basics of pressure and temperature to complex process control solutions
  • Provide technical support for the following products/technologies: Pressure/Temperature/Level/Flow Measurement; Pressure Management; Flow Control; Instrument Isolation
  • Troubleshoot application, installation, startup, and operational issues in industrial environments
  • Develop Bills of Materials based on customer requirements
  • Understand customer Process Safety Management programs and make suggestions in accordance with industry standards, ASME code, and API recommendations
  • Document best practices and knowledge share with colleagues
  • Establish rapport with strategic customers for technical consultative selling

Skills you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Engineering Technology) or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong technical aptitude with process control, flow control, and industrial process applications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High learning agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude/strong team player
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

    Here’s what will set you apart:

    • 3+ years of Flow Control or Instrumentation industry experience
    • Experience in industrial applications, process automation, instrumentation, valve automation, or application engineering
    • Experience with control valve sizing and selection
