The Applications Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise custom applications that support critical business operations and organizational objectives. The Applications Developer collaborates with business stakeholders, project managers, analysts, and technical teams to evaluate business requirements and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. The role utilizes Microsoft's versatile, open-source .NET platform to build tailored software solutions including web apps, mobile apps, desktop systems, and microservices. This role operates within the full software development lifecycle. The Applications Developer is highly analytical, organized, and driven to achieve results while managing multiple priorities and supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Develop new application functionality while maintaining and enhancing existing enterprise applications.
• Design, develop, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and related database objects.
• Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise applications using RESTful APIs, web services, and other integration technologies.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance concerns.
• Participate in application architecture discussions, code reviews, testing activities, and software deployment planning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including application specifications, system configurations, development standards, and support procedures.
• Support software releases, upgrades, patches, and ongoing application maintenance activities.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, security, and overall system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and enterprise technology modernization efforts.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding application functionality, technical solutions, project progress, and system performance.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required
• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience developing enterprise applications within a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Strong experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and the .NET Framework/.NET platform.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database optimization.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar source control and development tools.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and supporting enterprise software applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
