Job description

Student intern opportunity! CoVantage Credit Union is seeking a Software Developer Intern. This individual will focus primarily on efforts related to software development, web development, backend/middle-tier development, business intelligence, data warehousing, data development, with opportunities to leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
Job Duties
  • Assist Information Systems team members with the day-to-day operations, development and maintenance of systems including websites, systems, databases, and other applications for high availability and system security in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and standards
  • Develop software, data related transformations and reports per business requirements
  • Works with business units to understand data analysis and software development needs.
  • Provides end user support for all member and staff facing systems.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of member, employee, and credit union information.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program for Information Systems or Computer related field
  • Basic understanding of software development including but not limited to design patterns, object-oriented design, and other software constructs
  • Basic understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing including but not limited to database and report development, ETL, normalization, and modelling
  • Familiar with AI tools for software development
  • Primary focus is on the Microsoft technology stack (C#, SQL Server, IIS, Visual Studio, Azure, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people
